The ALHS Entertainment Corps has been a staple in the Rancho Cucamonga community for more than 50 years. With a rich history of groundbreaking shows and championship appearances, the Corps has become even more reputable in the last four years, as they compete in 4A, arguably the most competitive division of the SCSBOA, due to the large amount of competiton. Making the first of three recent appearances in 2014, with the show A Long Train Home to You, the Corps placed in 11th, with their sights set high for the next year. After a narrow miss in 2015, by only a few tenths of a point, the Corps took a darker tone, and re-appeared in 2016 with their breakout show, Coraline, featuring the Danny Elfman score from the movie, Coraline, and taking 5th place, with the then highest score to date in school history, and missing first place percussion by one-tenth of a point. Most recently, in 2017, the Corps took 7th place, with their reflective, classical and jazz mixture show, Season's Come, Season's Go, replacing the previous year's highest score to date by a full two points, and taking High Percussion out of 12 competitors.
We Take Your Child's Health Seriously
Please ensure that your child is properly equipped for practice. Our practice uniform includes a white t-shirt, which aids in cleaning drill formations and uniformity, shorts, preferably workout type to allow the large range of movement required in the activity, and athletic shoes, to prevent injury and aid in proper technique. Please also make sure that your child eats well before all band activities, and brings water to all band-related activities. This activity requires lots of movement and exercise, so not eating, hydrating. or wearing proper attire can result in health issues and/or injury.
