Alta Loma Entertainment Corps offers a Marching program, Color Guard, Winter Guard, Indoor Drumline and three Jazz programs. Information on each of these programs can be found under their corresponding names in the drop down menu above.

Marching Band
Marching Band is a very active performing group. Students in ALEC will perform weekly at football games, field show competitions, parades, and community events. Students will learn to visually interpret musical concepts; emphasis is placed on physical movement while playing an instrument. Interested students should enroll in Zero period Marching Band.

Symphonic Band
Symphonic Band is a performance based class. Students will learn advanced musical concepts through performance of concert band music. Outside of school rehearsals and performances are required. This is a second semester class and changes over from Marching Band in the Fall. Students may earn 5 Fine Arts or elective credits. This class meets CSU and UC requirements. Director approval is REQUIRED.
Color Guard
Color Guard is a dance/prop class. Instruction focuses on dance technique, physical training, and equipment spinning technique. Color guard is part of the marching band and spirit units of the school. After school practices and performances are required. Simultaneous enrollment in zero period marching band (1st semester) and 3rd period color guard are required. Audition is required.



Jazz Band
There are three levels of Jazz Band offered at Alta Loma. Jazz, A, B, and C. Jazz Bands are a full year course. Audition/Director’s approval is REQUIRED. This class is performance based and requires outside of school practices and performances. Students will explore musical concepts as they relate to Jazz music, history, and improvisation. Students may earn 10 Fine Arts Credits towards graduation. This class meets CSU and UC requirements. Freshman should enroll in 1st period Jazz C. Returning students will be required to audition for a spot in Jazz A or Jazz B.

Percussion
Alta Loma offers percussion instruction through marching band, winter drumline, jazz, concert, and percussion ensembles. Outside of school practices and performances are required. Interested students should attend percussion clinics in the Spring; audition is REQUIRED. Interested students should enroll in Zero period Marching/Symphonic Band.
